“My dad is a great artist in my life. He stopped painting and started focusing on his job in order to raise his children. Now that he is retired, he started back on his painting and is enjoying his retirement life by doing what he likes. His artwork is lovely.”

“An intimate moment with the photographer’s father captured well. There is a look of contentment on his face. I was touched by the photographer’s comment about how his father gave up his painting in order to look after his family. The lighting is also good, not putting too much focus on the subject but rather on the painting.” – Kenny Loh, @Kenny Loh Photography
“Focus, patience and knowing what one wants for the self is something that is often lacking in today’s modern world. This photograph is able to capture it and is able to give the experience. The light source coming from above enhances the task on hand, just like a spotlight on a stage where everything else outside of it is forgotten for the moment.” – May Chong, GreenAcres Retirement Village
“The lighting of this photograph is nicely set from top angle, it emphasizes the subject’s sharp focus while he was crafting his art.” – Yonsen Chan, @Idea Being
